Harrison's offers a healthy alternative for bird owners who like to prepare their own bird food or for those who want to feed something different from the standard snacks.
With the Breadmix you can bake your own sandwiches, to which you can add your own vegetables, fruit or nuts.
Harrison's Bird Bread Mix may also be used in the following circumstances: to transfer birds to a Harrison's diet, can be used to administer liquid medicine, can be used for hiding and searching, can be moistened and offered as soft food to birds feeding young.

Flax, Corn, Quinoa, Gray Millet, Chia, Hulled Barley, Roasted Soybeans, Peas, Lentils, Peanut Kernels, Sunflower Seeds, Calcium Carbonate, Baking Powder, Roasted Oat Groats, Brown Rice, Alfalfa, Psyllium, Bentonite, Mixed Tocoperols (source of Vitamin E), sea kelp, salt, algae meal, vitamin/mineral supplement (vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3 supplement, dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate, vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin supplement, d-calcium pantothenate, niacin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, biotin, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, calcium carbonate and sunflower oil.

Directions for baking bird bread:
* For best results, use 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of palm fruit oil (sustainable) or other high-quality organic vegetable oil in place of regular cooking oil when baking.
* Preheat the oven to 350°C or 177°C.
* Combine whole bag mix with 2 whole organic eggs - no shell (remove yolk for less fat), 1 tablespoon (15 ml) palm fruit oil (sustainable) or other high quality organic vegetable oil and 1 cup (235 ml) water.
*Fill greased loaf pan or muffin cups and bake for 25-35 minutes
* Do not cook in non-stick (PTFE coated) cookware as the fumes are toxic to birds
Dough Guidelines:
* Combine the entire bag with 1 tbsp, melted organic palm fruit oil or coconut oil and 1/2 cup of trusted drinking water (no eggs).
*Mix thoroughly and roll into 3/4 to 1 dough balls.
* Freeze unused first feed, store frozen dough balls in original Harrison's bag. Defrost for daily feeding.
Storage and shelf life:
Because Bird Bread Mix contains no preservatives, some care in storage is recommended.
* Bird Bread can be portioned, wrapped in plastic wrap or foil, and placed back in the original Harrison's Bird food bag for freezer storage.
* Bird bread can be kept in the refrigerator for 1 week after baking and up to 6 weeks in the freezer.
* Bird bread should not be heated in a plastic container.
Serving suggestions:
*Once the diet is converted into a powerful formula, omega bird bread can make up to 30% of the daily diet.
*If prepared with the addition of fruits, vegetables or nuts, wedding bread should be considered a 'treat' and fed only in limited amounts (no more than 10% of the daily food allotment in combination with all other treats).
* Can be served hot.
